Austin Announces Additional Rental Assistance

The City of Austin announced that it will make an additional $17 million available for renters impacted by COVID-19. This is the second round of funding for the RENT Program – Relief of Emergency Needs for Tenants. It is scheduled to be launched in August. 

Under the program, households that make 30% or less of the Austin median family income (MFI) will be able to get up to three months of their rent covered. Households that make 30% to 80% of MFI will be eligible to have one month of their rent covered.
